General Surgery

The General Surgery Department specialises in diagnosing and treating a wide array of surgical diseases and disorders. In addition to providing round-the-clock tertiary trauma care, the Department of General Surgery routinely performs basic and advanced laparoscopic procedures, bariatric procedures, endoscopic thyroid and endocrine surgeries, upper GI and colorectal surgeries, fundoplication, and splenectomy.

The department offers general surgery services for all types of surgeries related to benign and malignant abdominal pathology, thyroid diseases, breast cancer, and soft tissue tumors. The majority of the surgery is performed using minimally invasive techniques, which include both basic and advanced surgical procedures.
